botan1.8-dbg software package provides multiplatform crypto library (debug), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install botan1.8-dbg
botan1.8-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the botan1.8-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep botan1.8-dbg *
You will get with botan1.8-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
